Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers on minimums, artwork, food safety and shipping.
What is your minimum order?
Our minimum is based on weight, not bag count: a typical run is 500 lb of finished bags. How many bags that makes depends on size and film thickness. Try the MOQ calculator to see the count for your bag. Minimums can vary with print complexity, and our in-stock bags have no minimum.
Are there plate or setup charges?
New printed designs need printing plates, which are part of a new custom print order. Repeat orders with plates on file have no artwork or plate charges. Your quote lists any one-time costs up front.
What do you need from me to quote?
The product going in the bag, the bag size (width × length, plus any gusset or lip), film thickness if you know it, quantity per order and yearly usage, printing (number of colours or your artwork) and how you fill the bags (by hand, on wickets or on an automatic line). Send what you have and we will help with the rest. Request a quote.
Can I get samples?
Yes. Use the Request Samples button on any product page, or request samples here and tell us what you are packaging. We will send samples that match your application.
What artwork files do you need?
PDF, Adobe Illustrator (.ai) or EPS, with all fonts outlined and images at 300 DPI in CMYK. Free dieline templates are available for common bag styles.
Can you match my existing artwork?
Yes. Send us your current bags or artwork files and we will match colours, layout and dimensions. We can also improve print quality if you are moving from another supplier.
Do you offer design services?
Yes. Our graphics team can create artwork from scratch or adapt your existing designs to our dieline templates, following your brand guidelines.
Are your bags food safe?
Yes. Our Lethbridge facility is BRC certified and audited annually. We use food-contact compliant resins and inks, with supplier documentation available on request. See quality and certifications.
Do you ship outside Alberta?
Yes. We ship across Canada and can arrange shipments to the United States. Domestic production means no tariffs or border delays for Canadian customers.
What is the lip on a bag for?
Mostly for wickets: the lip carries the wicket holes so bags bundle onto wicket wires for semi-automatic and automatic bagging. On hand-packed bags, a short lip makes the open end easy to find and open.
Do you have bags in stock?
Yes. Standard sizes in our in-stock range are available right away, with no minimums.
What happens to your plastic scrap?
100% of our manufacturing scrap is recycled back into non-food-contact products. We can also talk about recycled content in your packaging spec.
