PP Woven Bags
Heavy-duty woven polypropylene bags for agriculture, construction, and bulk food applications, available in plain, laminated, gusseted, valve, perforated, UV-stabilized, and liner-equipped configurations.
Woven Polypropylene Bags for Heavy-Duty Applications
PP woven bags are manufactured by weaving flat polypropylene tapes into a fabric structure, then converting the fabric into bags. The woven construction delivers a high strength-to-weight ratio that far exceeds what is achievable with film-based polyethylene bags at equivalent gauges. This makes PP woven bags the standard choice for products in the 10 kg to 50 kg fill range including seed, fertilizer, animal feed, rice, flour, sugar, sand, and construction materials.
The base woven structure can be modified with lamination coatings, liners, gussets, valve fitments, UV stabilizers, and ventilation perforations to meet specific performance requirements for moisture resistance, breathability, automated filling compatibility, and outdoor storage durability.
PP Woven Bag Types
Plain PP Woven
Uncoated woven polypropylene fabric bags. The open weave structure provides natural breathability, making plain PP woven bags well-suited to products that benefit from air circulation, grains, agricultural produce, and bulky materials where moisture is not a primary concern. Strong and tear-resistant with a functional, industrial appearance. Standard printing via flexographic ink applied directly to the woven surface.
Laminated PP Woven
A PE (polyethylene) coating laminated to one or both sides of the woven fabric creates a moisture barrier that the plain woven structure cannot provide. Laminated PP woven bags are appropriate for products sensitive to humidity, flour, sugar, processed food ingredients, and chemical products. The laminate surface also accepts higher-quality printed graphics than the raw woven fabric.
Gusseted PP Woven
Side or bottom gussets incorporated into the woven bag construction expand the bag's interior volume for bulky products. Gusseted construction allows the bag to fill out more completely, improving pallet stacking efficiency and reducing empty headspace. Commonly used for bulky agricultural products, animal feed, and building materials.
A paper or film valve insert fitted into the mouth of the bag enables automated valve-fill machinery to fill the bag without the need for manual opening and closing. After filling, the valve seals under the weight and pressure of the product. Widely used in fully automated filling lines for seed, fertilizer, flour, and chemical products where throughput and operator ergonomics are priorities.
UV-Stabilized PP Woven
Standard polypropylene degrades with prolonged UV exposure, becoming brittle and losing tensile strength. UV-stabilized PP woven bags incorporate UV-absorbing additives into the resin formulation, extending the bag's outdoor service life. Essential for products stored or displayed outdoors, peat, mulch, aggregate, bulk seed, where bags may be exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods.
PP Woven with PE Liner
A separate inner polyethylene liner bag fitted inside the woven outer bag. The liner provides a complete moisture and vapour barrier while the outer woven bag provides structural strength. This two-layer construction is used for moisture-sensitive products where a laminated bag may not provide sufficient barrier performance, certain food ingredients, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. The liner can be sealed separately from the outer bag for added protection.
