Friesen Plastics offers full-capability onion packaging across the complete range of retail and foodservice formats. Onions are one of the most demanding produce items to package. They require maximum ventilation, UV protection for outdoor and warehouse storage, and heavy-gauge films that withstand rough handling and high fill weights.
We produce vented poly bags suitable for all major onion varieties including yellow, red, white, sweet, pearl, and shallots. While mesh bags remain common for bulk onion formats, poly bags with printed branding are increasingly preferred for retail consumer packs where brand presentation and moisture control matter. Our bags can be produced with UV-stabilized film for operations that store bagged onions outdoors before distribution.
