Friesen Plastics produces a range of cauliflower packaging, featuring gusseted bag designs that accommodate the irregular, bulky shape of whole cauliflower heads. Our cauliflower bags use clear film to showcase the product while providing the ventilation needed to prevent moisture buildup and yellowing.
Cauliflower packaging requires a different approach than flat-packed root vegetables. The rounded, irregular shape demands a bottom gusset for proper fit, while the product's sensitivity to moisture and ethylene means proper venting is essential. We designed our own customized punch pattern for our bagging machines specifically for cauliflower venting. Our bags are also well-suited for broccoli and romanesco, vegetables with similar shape and freshness requirements.
